les femmes d'un certain âge

Jane Pabon Boutique's Winter Fashion Show 2013

"We are all of us stars, and we deserve to twinkle."
- Marilyn Monroe

Hear ye, hear ye! As of Friday 6 December, the latest installment of Postcards to Paris is LIVE at Belle Inspiration Magazine - Yippeeee! And by the most delicious coincidence, this issue's debut happened on the same day that I had a most excellent adventure with Jane Pabon Boutique's proprietresses - Jane and Christina…

It was a cold winter night…

In August, while I was 'shooting' the boutique and interviewing Jane, she asked me it I would be a model the boutique's annual Winter Fashion Show. I said yes, but I didn't think she was serious. She was serious. On Friday night I worked the catwalk, along with 10 other Jane Pabon devotees - a motley group of femmes d'un certain âge

Jane wrangled we models...

Christina was the Mistress of Ceremonies and
we femmes d'un certain âge worked the runway something FIERCE!

de combien magnifique!

OUI!

It was 11 degrees outside and I didn't feel the cold not one bit!

There are countless reasons to fall in love with Jane's boutique: pristine, like new, appraised couture apparel (head to toe) and jewelry from every major designer you can name, at ridiculous prices you have to see for yourself to believe - 'cause you wouldn't believe me if I told you. But here's the thing. Jane and Christina's raison de etre is to ensure that every femme d'un certain âge, who walks into their shop, looks and feels their inner fabulous feminine diva everywhere, anywhere - and they are quite ready, willing and able assist in that endeavor at every price point.

One of the things that I love most about my adventures in Paris is that women of my age and beyond dress beautifully, always. And when I am in Paris, I dress accordingly - plan and pack my own very large suitcase to do so. But since meeting Jane and Christina, I'm able to dress like Paris at home - and I love it. Thank you Jane and Christina!
