Que se passe...

"Hello, I'm still here." - Evanescence

Bonjour mes amis,

Please excuse my sparse posting of late. There are so many exciting things going on in my life that it's left me little time to blog. Rest assured that I'm still here and am working on sharing with you all of the Parisian gems I've been stashing in my blog's treasure chest. In the meantime, I thought that it would be nice to share a bit of what's going on in my little slice of the world...

It's summer and you know what that means - I get to spend my days with my beloved three. Oui, I'm in full mamma-diva mode.

Rory

Sage

My oldest two are enrolled in a daily tennis camp. While they play year 'round, during the summer they get to really work on advancing and honing their skill(s). We are all especially excited about this summer's camp because Rory and Sage were personally invited to join the most advanced level - the high school team. At 10 and 11, Rory and Sage are the youngest (and smallest) in a group of 14-18 year olds. I must admit that I was a bit nervous about this change - some of the boys in this group are well over 6 feet tall! What if my two couldn't keep up? Well I'm happy to say that they both proved me wrong. They're standing toe-to-toe, slugging it out, and keeping pace with the big kids. They're thrilling to watch and I'm SO proud of them. Yeah, you know I'll keep you updated ;-}

My portable writer's studio

Since I spend half of every weekday at the clubhouse (just call me mamma-chauffer-extraordinaire!) everyday I pack up my files, pc, and iPod and create a writer's nook. The public clubhouse has free wi-fi and there's a Starbucks down the street, so I'm always good to go.

On Sunday mornings, over coffee the hubby and I
watch and cheer Rory on at basketball camp

Father's Day

June is a big month for my family: Father's Day and
Mr. Gorgeous & Never's birthdays.

23 June
Hip Hip Hooray! Never's 8 years old today!

I spend my afternoons and most nights in my atelier - finishing my 1st novel, working on my Postcards from Paris series and my jewelry. In early May, a beautiful elegant Swan decided to move into the pond in my backyard - I hope that she/he(?) decides to stay.

It's been a year since Mr. Gorgeous and I were last in Paris. Oh how we miss our city! We won't be able to return until next year - tellement tragique! Still, we manage to enjoy and experience a bit of Paris here at home: dinner at Bavette's followed by some glorious vintage jazz at The Green Mill.

But for me, bien sur, my closest most amazing connection to Paris (in between my sojourns to the city that has so completely captured of my heart) is this little blog that could. Know that not only am I still here, I'm not going anywhere ;-}

Vivre! Rire! Aimer!

  2. I drew a breath when I saw your swan! How lucky! I am not a mother, but I admire all who are and manage all the dimensions of family life. :) better not remind you I am off to Paris for two weeks in an apartment in the Marais in September.

  3. Ahh ma cherie!

    Oui, I am envious that you will be in Paris soon - I miss her so! But I am comforted knowing that someone who loves her as much as I will soon be with her again. Please tell Paris that I say hello and send my love. Have a glass of champagne for me? And take lots of photos! Happy and safe travels my friend and I can't wait to hear all about your trip when you return.

    Best,

    Temple
