Usually at this time of year, I'm in the midst of the final preparations for our annual family trip to Paris. Alas, we recently had to cancel the trip and reschedule it for June :( Though I'm trying to go for a long weekend this winter). Of course Mr. Gorgeous and I were quite upset at this unexpected turn of events. We so look forward to our family time in our beloved city. I mean 100% family time in Paris - how does it get better that? So, yes, our dissapointment was/is mighty. What to do? Well there's only one thing to do - find a bit of Paris at home to tide us over. Where? At a cafe, bien sur!
L'Eiffel Bistrot & Creperie
This enchanting little eaterie is a 20 minute drive from home, situated in the farthest corner of a shopping center that's literally in the middle of nowhere. You can't tell from this photo, but the cobblestone terrace extends around the building and has an expansive lawn with a small bandstand - where they have live jazz on Friday and Saturday nights (yeah, I'll post about that soon ;-} Their are a few dozen boxes filled with brilliant red Geraniums and bright green potato vines - the perfect spot to while away an afternoon.

L'Eiffel has an extensive wine list -
several of them delicious and very well priced
What's says summer more than a bowl full of mussels?
The appetizer menu is small but comprehensive and yummy
The best part about L'Eiffel?
They welcome dogs on their patio!
